Waltham Mr. Guido Pete Cardinelli of Waltham died Friday, February 10, 2006 at Emerson Hospital, Concord. He was 86. Born in Blanford, a son of the late Ciro Gene and Stella (Ricci) Cardinali, he had been a Waltham resident since 1948. He served in the United States Navy from 1936 until 1956 and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. After that he worked for twenty-eight years as head custodian at Brandeis University in Waltham. Pete had been a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018 in Waltham. The husband of the late Rose Evie (Mahoney) Cardinelli, he leaves his sister-in-law, Marguerite Cardinali of Monson and several nieces and nephews including Janet Muscaro of Monson and Jeffrey Cardinali of Mystic, CT. He was the brother of the late Almerico and Lena Cardinali. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
