Helen V. Leaver

Waltham - Mrs. Helen V. (O’Brien) Leaver of Waltham, formerly of Allston, died Thursday December 23, 2004 in Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton. She was 97. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late John and Delia (Mulrenan) O’Brien, she was a secretary for many years for the New England Telephone Company. She was a founding member of Saint Jude’s Church in Waltham, a former member of Saint Jude’s Ladies Sodality, a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and as well as the Ladies Auxilary, V.F.W.. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Leaver. She is survived by three generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous loving and dear friends. The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donation’s may be made to Saint Jude School, 175 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
