Helen L. Smith

Weston- Mrs. Helen L. (Fitzgerald) Smith of Waltham died Thursday November 10, 2005 at Epoch of Weston. She was 94. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Francis P.and Emily A. (Wallace) Fitzgerald, she was a homemaker. She was a Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose for the Medford Chapter and a former co-owner for Nestis Spa Sandwich Shop in the Theatre District of Boston in the early 1940’s. She was the wife of the late Carl W. Smith and sister of the late Walter L. Fitzgerald, Lillian M. Saul and Edna Mansfield. She is survived by her niece Lillian McLaughlin and her great niece Maureen McLaughlin both of Kittery, Maine. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:15 a.m.- 10:15 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte.20), Waltham Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
