Mrs. Helen L. (Murray) Young, of Weston, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. She was 97.
Helen was born on July 29, 1914 in Boston, a daughter of the late Robert M. and Gertrude Ella (Averill) Murray. She was educated in the Boston Public Schools and graduated from the former Girls Latin School in Boston and the Boston Clerical School. She lived in Waltham many years before moving to Weston in 1968.
Helen worked along side her husband, the late Dr. Warren G. Young, as office manager of his oral surgery practice in Waltham for many years, retiring in 1991.
Her husband, Warren G. Young, died November 16, 2002. She is also predeceased by her brother, Robert Murray.
She leaves her children, Robert W. Young of Weston and Sandra H. Kenyon and her husband, Robert, of Bedford, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, David Kenyon of Dover, New Hampshire and Robert Kenyon and his wife, Bonnie, of Newbury, New Hampshire; her great-grandchildren, Megan, Cameron, Audrey and Robert Kenyon III; her sister, Priscilla L. Day of Barrington, Rhode Island; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Helen's life by gathering on Tuesday, February 21, in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham, where her Graveside Service will be held at 11 am. There are no calling hours.
