Helene A. Innes

Mrs. Helene A. (Anderson) (Crowell) Innes of Waltham died Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the Epoch Nursing Home in Weston. She was 94. Mrs. Innes was born in Englewood, New Jersey, on August 2, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Bailot) Anderson.
She was schooled in New England and Colorado and was a 1936 graduate of William Memorial Girl School in New London, CT. In 1940, Helene graduated from the Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, CT.
She was a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for thirty years until her retirement at age 65. Helene was a member of Trinity Church in Boston and Christ Church in Waltham. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading.
Helene was the wife of the late Stanley E. Innes and the late Edgar Crowell.
She is survived by her stepsons, Robert G. Innes of Margate ,Florida, Kendall V. Innes and his wife, Joanne, of Newburyport, and Gary M. Innes and his wife, Diane, of Hanover; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Helene was the stepmother of the late Stephen C. Innes.
Family and friends will honor and remember Helene's life by gathering for her Memorial Service on Saturday, April 21st, at 11 am in Christ Church, 750 Main Street, Waltham.
