Mr. Henry J. Boudreau, of Waltham, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Mount Auburn Hospital after an illness. He was 90.
He was the son of the late Alexander 'Sandy' and Marie Ann (Aucoin) Boudreau of Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, Canada. Husband of the late Elizabeth 'Betty' (Aucoin) Boudreau. He is survived of his son, Kevin Boudreau and his wife, Cindy (Norton) of Waltham; his grandchildren, Luke, Ethan and Rachel Boudreau; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he joins in heaven his brothers and sisters, Wilfred, Eugene, Albert, Eddie Joe, Denis, Jeanette, Alice and Isabel.
Henry followed in the family tradition of carpentry as a career. He emigrated to the United States and 1955 for work and was a proud Union Carpenter of local 275 his entire career. He enjoyed first and foremost, time with family, which involved many trips back to Nova Scotia and Toronto, general travel around the USA, Canada, Europe and numerous Caribbean cruises. He was an active member of the French American Victory Club of Waltham, Sacred Heart Church of Waltham and prior to that Saint Joseph's parish of Waltham. He was also an active blood donor for most of his life.
Family and friends will honor and remember Henry's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20) Waltham on Tuesday, November 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
