Watertown - Mr. Henry J. Ciarletta of Watertown died Tuesday June 29, 2010 at the Wayland Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 83.
Henry was born on November 22, 1926, a son of the late Ilario and Cesidia (Gavita) Ciarletta, he was a type setter for many years for the Boston Herald American until his retirement. Henry was a lifelong resident of Watertown and in his spare time enjoyed going to the dog track and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Henry was the brother of the late Ernest Ciarletta, Rose M. Howe, Ida E. Ciarletta, Pasqualina Natoli, Delfina ‘Helen’ Fahey and Adeline Scafidi.
Family and friends will honor and remember Henry’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
