Henry J. 'Hank' Gaudet

Palm Coast, FL – Mr. Henry J. ‘Hank’ Gaudet of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 in his home. He was 78. Hank was born in Waltham on June 30, 1932, a son of the late Camille and Mary Jane (LaFrenier) Gaudet. He had lived in Waltham for many years until moving to Florida in 1996.

Hank was a senior material specialist for the Polaroid Corporation for thirty years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Christ Church in Waltham where he was also a member of the Vestry.

He was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Army.

Hank leaves his wife, Shirley A. (Nelson) Gaudet; his son, Henry J. Gaudet, Jr., and his wife, Melissa, of Weymouth; his grandchildren, Meghan and Mattheau Gaudet and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Eleanor Bowley, and Gilbert, Richard, Norman, Wilfred, and Roger Gaudet.

Family and friends will honor and remember Hank’s life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning when his Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Christ Church, 750 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will be private.
