Waltham Mr. Herbert A. McGuigan, Jr., of Waltham, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his home. He was 79. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Herbert A., Sr., and Ruby (Golding) McGuigan, he was a lifelong Waltham resident. Until his retirement, Herb worked as a sheet metal fabricator for the Raytheon Company. During the Korean War, he served with the United States Army. The husband of the late Helen V. (Lindberg) McGuigan, he leaves his grandchildren, Dale Campbell of Waltham, Dean Campbell, Sherry Campbell and David Campbell, all of Worcester; five great-grandchildren, Alicia Perry of Worcester, Lindsay Campbell and Samantha Campbell, both of Lancaster; Shawn Campbell and Johnathan Witcher, both of Worcester; two great-great-grandchildren, David Healy and Julia Healy, both of Worcester; one brother, Thomas McGuigan of Waltham; one sister, Myrtle Kershaw of Natick and many nieces and nephews. Herb was also the step-father of the late Marilyn Collins; brother of the late Shirley Clancy, Muriel Bradshaw and Nita Tracy; grandfather of the late Richard Collins; great-grandfather of the late Craig Witcher and great-great-grandfather of the late Hailey Campbell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
