Hilda C. Mullaney

Centerville - Mrs. Hilda C. (Besso) Mullaney, of Centerville, formerly of Waltham, died at home on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was 87.

Hilda was born on November 1, 1926 in Holy Rood, Newfoundland, Canada a daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Atkinson) Besso. She lived many years in Waltham before moving to Centerville.

She leaves her husband, John J. Mullaney Jr. of Centerville; her children, Suzanne Saulnier, John J. Mullaney III, both of Waltham, Kathleen Pierce Mullaney of Mashpee, Deborah LeBlanc of Canada, Barbara Mullaney of Newton, Margaret Spencer of N. Reading, Sharon Gulla of Moultonborough, NH, Timothy Mullaney of Maynard, Kevin Mullaney of Needham, Patrick and Christopher Mullaney, both of Waltham; her siblings, Richard Beeso, Joan Wenkus and Madeline LeBlanc, all of Waltham; also survived by 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Thomas Mullaney.

Family and friends will honor and remember Hilda's life by gathering to visit from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 11th, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
