Framingham – Mrs. Honora K. 'Nora' (Gormley) Moran, of Framingham, formerly of West Roxbury, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. She was 93. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late James F. and Sarah A. (Slattery) Gormley, she was raised in Jamaica Plain. Until her retirement she worked for many years as a secretary at Boston City Hospital. Nora lived most of her life in West Roxbury where she and her husband raised their family and where she had been a communicant at Saint Theresa of Avila Church and at Saint John Chrysostom Church. She moved to Framingham five years ago. The wife of the late Francis P. Moran, she leaves her children, Sheila P. Ashenfelder and her husband, Michael, of Arizona, Claire F. Peterson and her husband, William, of Duxbury, Sister Kathleen J. Moran, C.S.J., of Dorchester and Kevin P. Moran of Bridgewater; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Nora was also a sister of the late James and Thomas Gormley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham.
