Irene F. (Jutras) Burke

Mrs. Irene F. (Jutras) Burke, of Marshfield, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Duxbury. She was 101.
Irene was born on August 31, 1920 in Billerica a daughter of the late Archie and Eva (Brunnell) Jutras. She was a graduate of Billerica High School with the class of 1936.
She married Henry L. 'Honey' Burke on April 17, 1943. Residents of Waltham for many years they moved to Marshfield over 35 years ago.
Irene worked as a nurse's aide for many years at the former Waltham Hospital.
On the occasion of her 100th birthday she was featured in an article in the Patriot Ledger. It is a wonderful article which beautifully describes Irene's tenacity and outlook on her milestone birthday.

Wife of the late Henry L. 'Honey' Burke, she was also predeceased by a sister, June Matheson.
She leaves her children, James F. Burke (Sara) of Sudbury, John F. Burke (Judy) of Austin, TX, William A. Burke of Marlborough, Beverly M. Wright (David) of Billerica and the late Michael F. Burke; mother-in-law of Betsy Burke of Watertown; and former mother-in-law of Joanna Burke; also survived by 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews;
