Irene G. Centola

Summerfield, Florida - Mrs. Irene G. (Doyle) Centola, of Summerfield, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, April 25, 2011.

Irene was born in Boston on September 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Andrew and Jeanne Doyle and had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Florida seventeen years ago. She was a homemaker, was very active at Spruce Creek in Florida and enjoyed crocheting blankets for the area veteran’s home.

She was the wife of the late Rudolph C. ‘Rudy’ Centola and mother of the late William J. Boyle.

Irene leaves her children, Joseph C. Centola of Waltham, James G. Boyle of Dorchester, Joyce A. Hunt of Stoughton, Paul M. Centola of Naples, Florida, Steven J. Centola of Gardner, Karen M. Demeo of Wellesley and Rudolph C. Centola, Jr. of Mansfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Irene’s life by gathering for visitation in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham, on Tuesday, May 10th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
