Irene M. Chase

Watertown - Mrs. Irene M. (Waters) Chase of Watertown, formerly of Brighton, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. She was 81. Born in Brighton, a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Garvin) Waters, she was a homemaker and had lived in Brighton for many years before moving to Watertown thirty-eight years ago. She was the sister of the late John Waters, Richard Waters and Virginia Rooney. She is survived by her husband, William G.Chase of Watertown; her children, Richard J. Nagle and his wife Gail of California, Robert E. Nagle of Maine, David P. Nagle of Rhode Island, Linda S. Chase of Stow, Chief William G. Chase, Westwood Police Department, and Karen L. Withrow and her husband Warren of Waltham; one sister, Carol Courtney of Framingham; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
