Isabelle C. Kiburis

Waltham – Mrs. Isabelle C. (Waitkun) Kiburis died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in her home. She was 92.

Isabelle was born in Boston on August 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle (Stonkus) Waitkun. She grew up in Cambridge and Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School and after graduation she had worked at Raytheon. She was a devoted wife and mother and took pride in taking care of her home and family. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, gardening and reading.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Kiburis and is survived her children, Maureen I. Wilkinson and her husband, Joseph, of Malden and Charles E. Kiburis and his wife, Marie 'Josie', of Nova Scotia; her grandchildren, Charlene Kiburis of Nova Scotia, Joseph Wilkinson II and his wife, Edlaine, of Everett, Mark Wilkinson and his wife, Kathleen, of Wakefield and Jeffrey Wilkinson of Malden; her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Wilkinson and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Casimir 'Charlie' Waitkun.

Family and friends will honor and remember Isabelle's life by gathering on Monday, September 12th, at 10 am in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where her Funeral Service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
