Isabelle A. O'Reilly

November 11, 1921 — May 10, 2012

Waltham – Mrs. Isabelle A. (Hogan) O'Reilly, of Waltham, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 90.

Isabelle was born in Avon on November 11, 1921, one of thirteen children born to the late Jerome C. and Agnes M. (Lynch) Hogan, and moved to Quincy as a child. She was a 1939 graduate of Quincy High School and soon after began working at the First National Bank in Quincy. She met her future husband, Dan O'Reilly, in April, 1944 at a USO dance while his ship was docked at the United States Coast Guard Base in Quincy. True to his word, and to his heart, the pair married at Isabelle's home parish, Saint Ann's Church, in Quincy's Wollaston section on December 15, 1944.

Until her retirement Isabelle worked for Honeywell Bull in Lexington and before that had worked at Itek Corporation, also in Lexington. She also had worked at the Barbara Ann Bakery in Waltham and as a nurse's aide a number of years ago at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. After retirement the couple spent many happy years traveling across the country, including a 60th wedding anniversary trip to Alaska, and on excursions to Europe.

Rigby and husband, Don, of Wheeling, West Virginia, Geraldine R. O'Neill and husband, Stephen, of Lexington and Eileen A.
