Waltham – Some of Jackson Nixon's favorite book and movie characters were from the 'Gruffalo' series . . . heart-warming and simple stories of characters wise beyond their years. Jackson was one of those.
He read every book he could get his hands on; performed dance moves like Michael Jackson; could sing like Elvis and brought a smile to all he met.
His sudden death on Friday, August 7, 2015 changed the world forever for his mother and his father, Kendra and Mike, who loved him beyond the ability of words to describe. He was four years old.
Jackson was born on June 28, 2011 and always lived in Waltham where he attended the Carousel School. He excelled at reading, singing, dancing, smiling and getting along with the other kids. His keen interest in music of all sorts was well known among family and friends and included renditions of not just Michael and Elvis, but country singer Johnny Cash as well.
He loved all the superheroes that every four-year old does; Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Captain America . . . he loved going on vacations with his family where together they created wonderful memories in places like the Cape, New Hampshire and on a Disney Cruise.
Jackson's joyful presence, his loving and caring nature, his clever and inquisitive talents will be his enduring legacy.
Left to mourn Jackson's passing are his parents, Kenneth Michael Nixon and Dr. Kendra Carnevale; his brother, Thomas Nixon; his grandparents, Kenneth and Katherine (Diamond) Nixon of Dedham and Robert and Cheryl (Carr) Carnevale of Pepperell and his large and extended family of Nixon and Carnevale aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jackson's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
Memorial donations may be made to the Jackson Nixon Memorial Fund, 107 Springwood Avenue, Stoughton, MA 02072.

We Love You Jackson.
