Waltham – Mr. Jaime M. De'Alencar, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 93.
Jaime was born on December 13, 1923 in Oruro, Bolivia and lived most of his life in LaPaz, Bolivia. In Bolivia he had been a member of the presidential security detail for former president Victor Paz Estenssoro and after that worked for many years for the Bolivian customs service.
In 1981 he moved with his family to the United States and settled in Waltham.
The husband of the late Honoria Perez De'Alencar, he leaves his children, Blanca Miranda, Janet De'Alencar, Jaime D. De'Alencar and Elizabeth De'Alencar, all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Jason, Raul, Aldo and Christina De'Alencar, Pamela Romero, Krystle and Mark De'Alencar; his great-grandchildren, Savanna, Miah, Kayla, Sophia, Vanessa, Nina and Noah; his sister, Angelica Beatriz De'Alencar Terrazas of LaPaz, Bolivia and many nieces and nephews.
Jaime was also the father of the late Rene Romero and Franz Alberto De'Alencar and a brother of the late Lionel, Abel, Juliette, Goyo, Jose, Alberto and Carmenrosa De'Alancar.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jaime's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, July 18th from 4 to 8 p.m.
