Shrewsbury - Jimmy Iandoli loved life by and on the ocean whether on Cape Cod or down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he called home for many years.
James T. Iandoli was born on September 10, 1957 in Worcester one of twelve children to the late John P. and Janet E. (Todd) Iandoli. Raised in Shrewsbury he attended Saint Mary’s Elementary School followed by Saint John’s High School, graduating with the class of 1975. He then earned his Bachelor’s degree from Boston State College.
Jim began his Real Estate career in Falmouth and then followed his passion for boating and the ocean and became ‘Capt. Jim Iandoli U.S.C.G. Licensed Captain Services’ in which he chartered countless private and public boat charters for over twenty-five years, as well as continuing Real Estate throughout Florida.
Jimmy was a sports enthusiast following all New England teams and cherished his lifetime of memories from Cape Cod at Megansett Beach and his large immediate and extended family.
Diagnosed in June with advanced metastatic cancer he returned home to his native Massachusetts at the encouragement of his family. His family remains forever grateful to Dr. Elliott Brea and team at Dana Farber as well as the entire staff of Brigham and Women’s Hospital for the attentive and skilled care of Jim.
Jim died Sunday, September 8, 2024 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was 66.
He leaves his siblings John P. Iandoli Jr., of Shrewsbury, Marianne Bardsley (late Bruce) of Bourne, Elizabeth Bird (Brian) of Falmouth, Kathleen Stake (Edward) of Bourne, Nancy Iandoli (late Joseph Paika) of Palmetto, Florida, Carol Sutton (Gerard) of Worcester, Suzanne Iandoli (Brian O’Connor) of Pocasset, Sandra Coolidge (Mark) of Holden, Michael J. Iandoli of Falmouth and David J. Iandoli (Anne Marie) of Cataumet, Daniel J. Iandoli (Elizabeth) of Cohasset; also survived by many nieces & nephews; grand-nieces & grand-nephews, cousins and a host of really good and lifelong friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jimmy by gathering for a Life Celebration from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6th at The Courtyard Restaurant, 1337 County Road, Cataumet, MA. There are no calling hours. After cremation, Jimmy will be returned to the oceans he loved so much on Cape Cod and Florida.
