Waltham – Mrs. Jane (Corliss) Buckley, of Waltham, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 77.
Jane was born in Boston on March 29, 1941, and was raised in Watertown where she graduated from Rosary Academy. After that she earned her bachelor's degree at Regis College in Weston.
After college she taught for a few years at the Cunniff School in Watertown before she became a full-time wife and mother, roles she loved and was really good at.
Family meant everything to Jane. She involved herself with all of her son's sports and school endeavors and spent many warm and happy summer nights at the ballfield shack. Later in life she became an expert street hockey goalie for her grandsons. She was a woman possessed of a deep and abiding faith and joyfully supported her husband Tim as the two worked for years in service of Christ and His Church.
She leaves her husband of fifty-four years, D. Timothy Buckley; her sons, Timothy E. 'Ted' Buckley and his wife, Kathleen, of Watertown and Christopher M. Buckley of Walpole; her grandsons, Colin and Declan Buckley and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jane was also the daughter of the late Theresa (Corkery) Corliss and the niece of the late Katherine and Edward Murray.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jane's life by gathering to visit at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st in Saint Julia Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
