Watertown - Mrs. Jane (Isensee) Croteau, of Watertown, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the Newton-Wellesley Alzheimer Center, Wellesley, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 79. Her husband, Harold G. 'Jerry' Croteau died March 1, 2000. Jane was born June 7, 1928 in Boston, a daughter of the late Robert and Muriel (King) Isensee. Jane lived most of her life in Waltham before moving to live with her daughter, Betsy and her family over three years ago. A United States Navy veteran, she was a member of the W.A.V.E.'s (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service) and served during the Korean Conflict. She was a graduate of Concord High School and Middlesex Community College. She leaves her children, Elizabeth J. 'Betsy' D'Amico and her husband, Arthur, of Watertown, Susan Rohl and her husband, Dan, of Bradenton, Florida, Harold G. 'Bill' Croteau Jr. and his wife, Kristen, of Townsend and Robert A. Croteau and his wife, Paula of Billerica; a brother, John Isensee of Bradenton, Florida; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held for Jane in Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
