Jane F. Gladney

Waltham – Mrs. Jane F. (Ford) Gladney, of Waltham, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Maristhill Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 82. She was the wife of the late Leo F. Gladney. Born in Cambridge, Jane was raised in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. She had been a Waltham resident for more than forty years. Until her retirement, she worked as an executive secretary for the New England Telephone Company. Jane was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was a daughter of the late Ernest B. and Gertrude A. (Covell) Ford and sister of the late Mary A. Ford and Lieut. Ernest B. Ford, Jr., U.S.A.A.C. Jane is survived by her nieces, Michelle A. Harris of Vermont and Roberta J. Ford of Wisconsin and several grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.
