Waltham – Miss Jane L. McCusker, of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in her home. She was 79.
Jane was born in Waltham on February 21, 1935, a daughter of the late John H., Jr. and M. Louise (Morrissey) McCusker, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a 1953 graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham.
Until her retirement she worked for forty-three years at Newton-Waltham Bank which later became BayBank. Jane was active at the Waltham Senior Center and Club 50 at Watertown Savings where she indulged her lifelong passion for travel and photography.
She leaves her brother, Dr. James J. McCusker and his wife, Theresa, of Woodland, California; her sisters-in-law, Margaret McCusker of Waltham and Barbara McCusker of Palm Coast, Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jane was also the sister of the late Jerome A. McCusker, John H. McCusker, III and Joseph P. McCusker.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jane's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, July 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
