Janet A. Kennedy

Waltham – Mrs. Janet A. (Read) Kennedy, of Waltham, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Hearthstone at Golden Pond in Hopkinton. She was 77.

Janet was born in Waltham on June 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Rejeanne (Coutu) Read, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a 1951 graduate of Waltham High School. Until her retirement in 1992, Janet worked as a supervisor at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard.

She leaves her husband, William F. Kennedy; her children, Robert C. Mansur of Carmel, Indiana, Richard R. Mansur of Marlborough and Christa Lee Mansur of Oxford and her grandchildren, Kathleen, Colleen, Erica, Shaina and Rhiannon Mansur.

Janet was the sister of the late Howard K. Read.

Family and friends will honor and remember Janet’s life by gathering at her funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be private.
