Worcester – Ms. Janice M. (LeFort) Phillipo, of Worcester, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. She was 67.
Janice was born in Waltham on July 29, 1955, a daughter of the late Roderick and Mae (Rheaume) LeFort, and was a graduate of Waltham High School.
She had lived in the Worcester area for more than fifteen years and until her retirement worked as an administrative assistant for the Simplex/Grinnell Company in Norwood.
Janice will long be remembered as a tireless advocate, mentor and devoted friend to those afflicted with various addictions . . . her gentle support and encouragement meant the world to those she helped. She truly loved spending time with her family and always enjoyed life's simple gifts . . . trips to the beach, walking her dogs and listening to any song by Billy Joel.
She leaves her brothers, Roderick A. LeFort (late Joanne) of Litchfield, New Hampshire, John T. LeFort (Lynne) of Sterling and Thomas J. LeFort (Joanne) of Waltham; her nieces and nephews, Matthew T. LeFort (Deryn), Kevin J. LeFort, Roderick E. LeFort (Amanda), Daniel M. LeFort (Renee), Rebekka C. LeFort, Kristen L. LeFort (Chris Raskett) and Erika L. LeFort and many grand nieces and nephews.
Janice was also the sister of the late Bruce E. LeFort and Bonnie Jean LeFort.
Family and friends will honor and remember Janice's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, August 18th from 4 to 7 p.m. and will conclude with a service at 7 p.m.
