Waltham – Mr. Jaroslav 'Jerry' Boban, of Waltham, died Thursday December 27, 2012 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was 58.
Jaroslav was born in Czechoslovakia which is now known as Slovakia on April 24, 1954, a son of Zofia (Jellusova) Boban of the Czech Republic and the late Jan Boban. Jaroslav had worked for many years as a welder for the J.F. Stearns Company and was a proud member of the Iron Workers Local 7. He had a passion for soccer and was a member of the over-fifty soccer league in Lexington for many years.
Besides his mother, he leaves his wife Jaroslava 'Jarka' (Norska) Boban; his children, David Boban of Waltham, Monika Boban of Weymouth and Jaroslav Boban Jr.; his granddaughters, Gabryelle and Daniela Boban; his brother, Jan Boban and his companion, Jirina Skrabakova, of the Czech Republic; his sisters Zdena Hudcovicova and her husband, Fero Hudcovic, of Slovakia and Olga Kyselicova and her husband, Stefan Kyselica, of Slovakia and also leaves two nieces and one nephew.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jaroslav's life by gathering in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston, on Sunday January 6, 2013 where his funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
