Jean C. (Presti) Brouillard

Jean C. (Presti) Brouillard, born and raised in Waltham, died July 14, 2023 at Marist Hill Nursing Home in Waltham. She passed after a brief battle with cancer, passing peacefully with her family by her side. She was 87.

Jean was born on October 25, 1935, a daughter of the late Nancy (Lupo) and Benedetto Presti.

Jean met the love of her life, the late Rene Brouillard at The WAL-LEX in Waltham and married on September 12, 1954. They were married for 67 years. They raised their family and resided in Waltham for many of those years.

She was a devoted wife and mother and took pride in taking care of her family. She enjoyed the holidays, family gatherings, and game nights with family and friends. Jean especially enjoyed the game of Scrabble.

Jean leaves her daughter Debra Carvelli and husband John of Millis, her son, Steven Brouillard and wife Linda of Waltham; her grandchildren, Lianne MacDonald (Jeff) of Framingham, Nicole Wiebers (Brad) of Bellingham, and Michelle Rubin (Dan) of Framingham; her pride and joy, six great-grandchildren, Elise, Jeffrey, Brandon, Natalie, Kenna and Andi; her brother Joseph Presti of Waltham and she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jean was also the sister of the late Joanne Bibbo and Ronald Presti.

Family and friends will honor in remember Jean‘s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, July 19^th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving and procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School St., Waltham where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
