Ms. Jean M. Conti, of Waltham, died on Friday, January 7, 2022 in her home after a lengthy illness. She was 64 years old.
Jean was born in Waltham on May 9, 1957, a daughter of the late John J. and Ruth A. (Golden) Conti. She graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1975 and continued her studies at UMass Amherst where she earned her nursing degree. A Waltham resident for most of her life, she spent a brief time in California and Quincy before resettling in the City.
She was a dedicated nurse and case manager for more than forty years, most recently at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was also a proud member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
Outside of work she loved spending time with her family and friends in Cape Cod, especially in Centerville at Craigville Beach. She also enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and visiting friends in California. Her fun spirit and exuberant laugh will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, awaiting her arrival in Heaven was her brother, the late John J. Conti, Jr.
She leaves her sisters, Karen C. Chabon (David) of Chestnut Hill, Marie E. Kuniholm (James) of Athol, Joanne Naughton (Bob) of Holliston, and Janet M. Strazzullo (Carl) of Webster. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jean's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20) Waltham, on Friday, January 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
