Weston - Mrs. Jean (D'Intinosanto) Jones, of Weston, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harry B. Jones and is survived by her only son, Stephen, his wife Francine of North Andover. Jean had 7 siblings and is also survived by her youngest sister, Margaret "Peggy" Bianchi, her husband, Rico, and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Weston in 1924 and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Weston High School in 1942. She worked at Raytheon as a radar inspection supervisor during World War II. She then worked as a medical secretary for 12 years. From 1978-1988, Jean was the Manager of Merriam Village, non-profit housing for the elderly, in Weston.
Jean had been an active member of the Weston United Methodist Church (WUMC) since 1959 and taught Sunday school for 11 years. She served as co-president of the WUMC Women, co-chairwoman of the Circle of Concern and chaired many church suppers and memorial service receptions with her best friend of 50 years, Sally Barnes.
She was an avid bridge player and played with multiple groups until her last days. Many of her long time closest friends are from bridge. Jean greatly enjoyed classical music in general but was particularly fond of opera.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 2nd, at 11 a.m. in the Weston United Methodist Church.
