Jean M. (LeLievre) McLane, of Waltham, died peacefully on October 1, 2021. She was 75.
Born and raised in Waltham, Jean attended St. Mary's High School. She spent most of her career in accounting working for BayBank, Arkwright, Thermo Electron, and later the Town of Brookline where she served in the Treasury Department. In her early 40's, Jean pursued and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Middlesex Community College.
Jean loved her family and friends. She was most proud of her grandchildren, whom she enjoyed taking in their games, recitals, graduations, and other social events. She adored animals – swans, birds, butterflies, horses, cats - but most of all, her Havanese dog, Devin, who brought her much joy during retirement years.
Jean was the youngest child and daughter of the late Eli and Elizabeth (Larade) LeLievre.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Roderick. She is also the loving mother to Michael and his wife Kathy of Dracut, the late Lori McLane, Kevin and his wife Cheri of Walpole, and Keith of Waltham; grandmother to Brian, Sarah and Jason McLane; Dylan, Julia and Carissa McLane; sister to Dennis LeLievre, the late Catherine and Al LeLievre, Doris Nickell and Lorraine Hill. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jean's life by gathering on Friday, October 8th at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
