Waltham – Miss Jean M. Nolan, of Waltham, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington. She was 85.
Jean was born in Waltham on September 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Margaret J. (Loftus) Nolan, and had been a lifelong resident. Until her retirement she had worked as a secretary.
She was the sister of the late Margaret M. Nolan, Catherine E. Boeglin, Claire R. Nolan, Olive A. Nolan and Thomas F. Nolan, Jr. and leaves her nephews and niece, Eugene R. Boeglin, Jr. of Lexington, Thomas F. Nolan, III of Westport, Connecticut and Margaret J. McNeil of Charleston, South Carolina; several grandnieces and grandnephews and lifelong family friend, Anne Marie Carr-Reardon of Newton.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jean's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, August 7th, from 4 to 6 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
