Jean Philippe Roche, age 31, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Care Dimensions Hospice House. Jean Phillippe, better known as Pipo, spent his final days surrounded by family and friends that he had impacted in such a memorable way.
Pipo was born July 5, 1988, in Bois Monquette, Petion-ville, Haiti, to Jean (deceased) and Viergella Roche. He married Vanessa Abellard on September 2, 2016, in Waltham, MA. He worked as a Care Counselor at the Walker School, displaying a wonderful knack for connecting on a personal level with the children.
Pipo truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; speaking wisdom to family and friends, kicking around his futbol (soccer ball) for hours on end, and being the life of the party. His favorite past times included dancing and making those around him laugh uncontrollably. Pipo had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He never met a stranger and some would say he was an old soul. He was very much an inspiration to many.
Pipo is survived by his wife, Vanessa Roche; his mother Viergella Roche; his siblings and their spouses, Helene Jules Roche, Bernadette Roche Nicholas, Jean Raymond and Jonine Roche, Nathalie Roche, Francklin Fleurantin and Marie Alice Fleurantin Roche, and Jean Daniel and Stephanie Roche, and Paul Noel; his aunts and uncle; his nieces and nephews, Stephane Nicholas, Giovanna Nicholas, Sebastian Roche, Fabrice Fleurantin, Theofane Jules, Franscesca Fleurantin, Reina Roche, Ali David Nicholas, Jonathan Buisreth, and Daphaelle Roche; his cousins, Jacky Joseph, Martine Faucher, James Faucher, Thalia Faucher, Philippe Fauche, Danielle Fauche, Billy Geffrard, Ralph Fauche, Andy Fauche, Marty Fauche, Nissa Fauche, Alexandre Parent, Precia Parent, and Mike Allen Barthole; In-laws, Frantz and Denise Desire, and Jeff Abellard.
He was preceded in death by his father Jean Roche, and his brother Jean Bernard Roche.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Jean touched are invited to the Homegoing Celebration services. A wake will be held at the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. Waltham, MA 02453, from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, July 19, 2019. A Funeral service will be held at the New Covenant Church of Cambridge, 527 Main St., Waltham, MA 02543 at 9:00am on Saturday morning. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
