Mrs. Jean. M. (Isaac) Sullivan of Waltham died Saturday October 9, 2010 in her home. She was 80.
Jean was born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Edward T. and Louise D. (Smith) Isaac. She was raised in Belmont, and had lived in Waltham since 1956. Jean was a homemaker and in her spare time she enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies, knitting, gardening, walking, shopping and going to the beach. She also enjoyed following one of her favorite sports teams, The Boston Red Sox. She was also a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton.
Jean was the wife of the late Joseph L. Sullivan who died on April 18, 2010, and she leaves her children, Mary J. Sullivan of Saint Augustine, Florida, Donna M. Kennelly and her husband, John, of Hopedale, and Maureen L. Sullivan of Waltham; her grandchildren, Matthew J. Kennelly and Meghan K. Kennelly both of Hopedale; her sister, Mary L. Ahearn of Belmont and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was also the mother of the late Michael J. Sullivan and sister of the late Edward T. Isaac, Jr.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jean’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.
