Wilmington – Mrs. Jean A. (Quinlan) Wright, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Winchester Hospital. She was 88.
Jean was born in Allston on April 17, 1929, a daughter of the late James E. and Alma B. (Surette) Quinlan, and was raised in Waltham. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.
She worked for eighteen years for the Standard-Thomson Company in Waltham and after retiring in 1993 moved to Wilmington to be closer to her family. Jean enjoyed painting, crafting and knitting afghans and dish cloths that she gave away as gifts to family and friends. She also enjoyed many years with her pal, 'Pogo', a tiger cat.
Jean leaves her children, Jacqueline J. Wright Holmes of Wilmington, Jayne M. Wright Jarvie and her husband, James, of Billerica and William J. Wright of Waltham; her grandchildren, James Jarvie, Catherine Wright and Shannon Wright; her great-grandson, Brady Jarvie and her former daughter-in-law, Christine Wright.
She was also the sister of the late James E. Quinlan, Jr. and Doris E. Stryker.
