Lincoln - Ms. Jeanne R. (Mongeon) Dion of Lincoln, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Emerson Hospital, Concord. She was 81.
Jeanne was born in Waltham on January 27, 1931, a daughter of the late George and Loretta (Chamberlain) Mongeon. A graduate of Waltham High School, she lived many years in Waltham before moving to Lincoln over 20 years ago.
Jeanne worked as a shift supervisor at Hewlett-Packard Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1996.
A lover of bluegrass music, she was a member of the Boston Bluegrass Union.
Jeanne was predeceased by her siblings, Donald Mongeon, Paul Mongeon, and Geraldine Arisman.
She leaves her children, Elise Dion and her husband, Glenn, of North Carolina, Denise Dion and Laurie Dion, both of Waltham, Terise Dion of South Carolina and Randall Dion of Allston; her siblings, Anita Dowd and her husband, George, Robert Mongeon, and Gerald Mongeon and his wife, Mitzi.; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jeanne's life by gathering on Saturday, November 17th, in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Jeanne's preferred charity, the American Cancer Society, 43 Nagog Park, Suite 110, Acton 01720.
