Bedford, NH - Mrs. Jeanne M. (Crocker) Richard, of Bedford, New Hampshire and formerly of Waltham, died on Monday December 8, 2014 in the Bedford Hills Center. She was 87.
Jeanne was born in Waltham on May 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Hermantine (Patenaude) Crocker. She graduated from Waltham High School in 1944 and on June 14, 1947 she married James H. Richard and the pair made their home in Waltham. After raising her three daughters she reentered the workforce as a bookkeeper for Hardric Labs.
She and her husband, Jim, were very active at the former St. Joseph's Parish in Waltham and had run the Couple's Club for more than 10 years. She loved to spend time with her family and they traveled together as much as possible. For over twenty years the couple was happy to be able to spend their winters in Florida.
Besides her husband of sixty-seven years she is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Pennie and her husband, Ronald, of Burlington, Joyce Aliseo of Bedford, New Hampshire, and Laurel Richard of Nashua, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Cheryl Gerbrands, Maureen Petrone, Jeanne Greeley, Michael Aliseo Jr., Lauren Aliseo, Tanya Smith, Kristina Gorgone and Brandon Gorgone; her sons-in-law, Richard Greeley, Michael Aliseo and John Gorgone, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Rita Leonard, Pauline Patten, Marie Eagan, Albert Crocker and Agnes Martin.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jeanne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, December 11th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude's Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
