Jeanne J. Russell

Mrs. Jeanne J. (Hillery) Russell of Waltham died Friday March 18, 2005 in her home. She was 79. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Edward G. and Grace H. (Garry) Hillery, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Russell was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School in June of 1943, and after getting married her and her late Husband Arthur W. “Booty” Russell moved to Belmont before moving to Waltham in 1966. She was a life member of the Waverly V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary. She was a sister of the late Edward G. Hillery and Grace Herendeen and mother in law of the late Thomas Keenan. She is survived by her daughters Jeanne Keenan, Kathleen Grinnell and her husband Neal, and Rose Sullivan and her husband Kevin all of Waltham, Susan Karyanis and her husband Charles of Quincy and Virginia Dushame and her husband Stephen of Belmont. Grandmother of David Russell, Mathew, Ana Paula, Michael, and Andrea Press Russo, Hillary and Douglas Janowski, Charles Karyanis, and Brendon, Colleen and Brian Sullivan. Great –grandmother of Andrew Mason Janowski and Isabella Angelina Russo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
