Mrs. Jeannette M. (Belliveau) Prescott, of Waltham, died at home on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was 88.
Jeannette was born on September 7, 1924 in Waltham a daughter of the late Patrick and Marie (Leger) Belliveau and was a lifelong Waltham resident.
She worked for over 25 years at Standard-Thompson Company in Waltham.
Jeannette was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and among her interests she enjoyed playing cards, in particular "Skip Bo", sewing, quilting and crotchet. She and her late husband, Tom, enjoyed travelling and spending time with family at their home in Henniker, New Hampshire. She was also a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Her husband, William R. "Tom" Prescott, died May 23, 1996 and their son, Mark C. Prescott died February 5, 2011. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Geneva O'Brien and Amedee Belliveau.
She leaves her children, Wayne R. Prescott and his wife, Leslie, of Waltham, Carol A. Prescott of Watertown, Linda A. Doiron and her husband, Bernard, of Ashland and Glenn R. Prescott of Waltham; her daughter-in-law Alison J. Prescott of Waltham; her sisters, Dorilla "Deedee" Orleans, Theresa Doherty and Alice Hart, all of Waltham; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jeannette's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, February 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
