Waltham – Jeannine O'Connor was born to be a really great grandmother. She loved her role and loved her two grandchildren even more; four year-old Conor who affectionately called her "Nene" [pronounced knee-knee] and little Kayla who was christened last week.
She was devoted to her children and worked for years as a waitress at Il Capriccio in Waltham where she was a beloved member of the restaurant team.
Jeannine M. Peabody was born in Waltham on June 20, 1964, a daughter of Clayton and Jean (Dodakin) Peabody of Watertown. She was raised in Watertown where she was a graduate of Saint Patrick's High School.
Jeannine was 51 when she died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 and will forever be remembered with love and affection by a family who will cherish the memory of her sweet smile and her generous spirit.
In addition to her parents and grandchildren, she leaves her children, Jessica A. Crusco and her husband, Stephen, of Waltham, Colleen M. O'Connor and her fiancé, Brendon Clark, of Boston and Ryan C. O'Connor of Waltham; her sister, Cheryl Martino and her husband, Tony, of Watertown and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the wife of the late Kevin J. O'Connor and a sister of the late Clayton Joseph Peabody.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 22nd from 3 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20) Waltham. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
