Jessie Harriet Livingston

Waltham – Mrs. Jessie Harriet (MacInnis) Livingston, of Waltham, died Friday, August 19, 2016 in Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 80.

Harriet, as she was affectionately called, was born in Little Narrows, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on October 22, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Harriet (Stubbs) MacInnis. She moved to the United States in the 1950's and married Charlestown native Joseph F. Livingston in 1960. They lived in Watertown before moving to Waltham in 1970 where they were longtime Warrendale residents.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Livingston who died in 2008 and is survived by her daughter, Tanya Ahlman of Waltham; her son-in-law, John Ahlman of Holliston and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Phyllis Bryan, Malcolm, Cecil, John, Angus and Aulay MacInnis.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jessie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, August 25th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning in Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.
