Jo-Ann H. O'Mara

Arlington – Miss Jo-Ann H. O'Mara, of Arlington, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was 57.

Jo-Ann was born in Boston on December 31, 1957, a daughter of the late John J. and Helen L. (Hastings) O'Mara. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin School.

An Arlington resident for the past twenty-five years she graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and had been working as an administrative assistant for Fresenius Medical Care in Waltham. Among family Jo-Ann was the history and family tree expert owing to her long time interest in genealogical research.

She leaves her sister, Jane M. Casey of Cambridge; her nephew and niece, Jason Casey and his wife, Rachel, of North Reading and Lauren Willis and her husband, Jason, of Towson, Maryland and her grand-niece, Olivia Casey.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jo-Ann's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, June 4th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
