Jo-Anne Marie Profita

Waltham – Ms. Jo-Anne Marie (Merrill) Profita, of Waltham, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in her home after a long battle with brain cancer. Born in Concord, Jo-Anne had lived in Waltham for many years. She was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1979. Jo-Anne is survived by her sons, Nicholas R. Profita and Ryan J. Profita, both of Waltham; her mother, Mary G. Sullivan of Waltham; her brother, Bob Merrill of Waltham and her sisters, Lynne M. Duff and her husband, Brian, of Waltham and Julie A. Sullivan and her husband, Larry Staub, of Holliston. Jo-Anne was also the adored auntie of Jessica, Heather, and Ashley Duff, Christopher, Melissa, and Joshua Merrill, and Devin and Joshua Staub. She was the daughter of the late Joe Merrill and the step-daughter of the late Bob Sullivan. Family and friends will honor and remember Jo-Anne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday morning at 10 a.m. when her funeral service will be held.
