Arlington Mrs. Joan M. (Connolly) Beley, of Arlington, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Lahey Clinic, Burlington. She was 70. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late Raymond B. and Rebecca A. (Doiron) Connolly, Joan moved to Arlington in 1964 where she was a longtime member of Saint James Parish. Until her retirement, she worked as a library assistant for many years at Tufts University. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Beley, who died in November, 2005 and sister of the late Robert Connolly. She leaves her children, Cynthia A. Beley of Arlington, Diane E. Beley of Waltham, Eric W. Beley of Wilton, New Hampshire, Jacquelyn M. Cooney of Arlington, and Wendy J. Cornell of Green Bay, Wisconsin; one sister, Sandra Mahan of Rialto, California; one brother, Raymond Connolly of Edgewood, Maryland; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
