Wayland Mrs. Joan C. (Kerwin) Coleman, of Wayland, formerly of Weston, died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wayland. She was 82. Born in Everett, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Mabel (Stuart) Kerwin, she had lived in Weston for 36 years before moving to Wayland five years ago. Joan had been a member of the Weston Golf Club, Oyster Harbor Golf Club and the Auburndale Club. She had also been a longtime volunteer at Waltham Hospital. She leaves her husband of 62 years, Martin J. Coleman, Jr.; her children, Martin J. Coleman III and his wife, Pamela, of Waltham, Jeanie C. May and Richard MacLean of Natick, Judy C. Johnson and her husband, Charles, of Natick and Robert M. Coleman and his wife, Janet, of Sudbury; her grandchildren, Christine, Martin IV, Michael, Elizabeth, Mike, Katie, Sam and Hayley; her great-grandchildren, Martin V, Kenneth and Brittany; her sisters, Jeanne Finnerty of Weston and Diane Quirk and her husband, William, of Natick; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George Coleman of Concord and Helen Stanton of Needham and many nieces and nephews. Joan was also the mother of the late Nancy J. Coleman; and sister-in-law of the late Gerard Finnerty, James Stanton, Agnes Coleman and Elizabeth and George Tully. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julias Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
