Joan M. McCloskey

Mrs. Joan M. (Chandonait) McCloskey, of Waltham, died on Sunday October 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston. She was 88.

Joan was born in Waltham on October 8, 1930 and had been a life-long resident of the city. Until her retirement she had worked as clerk for Little Brown Publishing Company.

She is survived by her husband, John W. McCloskey; her son, Jeffrey B. McCloskey of Waltham; her siblings, Phillip M. Chandonait and his wife, Jeanne Cuerdon, of Chelmsford, Shirley R. Hough and her husband, Ralph, of Waltham and Doris Boudreau of Chelmsford; sister-in-law of John Chadnoit of Florida and also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Alice Chadnoit and Margaret Johnson and sister-in-law of the late John Johnson and Raymond Boudreau.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joan's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, October 17th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. before leaving in procession to Mt. Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham where graveside service will be held.
