Joanne lived most of her life in Waltham where she worked for Keltron Corporation as a Quality Control Inspector for many years amongst many friends. She attended Mass Bay Community College, graduating with an Associate's degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. In Joanne's second career, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and brought great compassion and joy to the older people she served as a companion and caregiver. Joanne was also a gifted artist, gifted technician, and had a deep appreciation of flowers.
Joanne lived life fully engaged. When Joanne was with you, she was with YOU. She expressed her love and feelings, without hesitation or ambiguity. Her love was unreserved. For her nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Amanda, Paul Harris, Nathan, Benjamin, Angela, Marissa, and GraceMary, her great niece Hanna, and her great nephews Peter, Jack S., Jack M., Gus, Matthew and Harris, as well as the children of her friends, he was a gravitational force of warmth and enveloping love. They were drawn to her and she to them. Their time together was distinctly memorable, her love both unconditional, and of a depth that will resonate throughout their lives. She adored them, and they her.
For her siblings, she was both a wild child and woman. She reveled when we were all together. She reveled in being with us one on one. She often brought wide smiles to all our faces for all the right reasons. For her parents, she was loving and caring. She was a strong and steady source of comfort and security for her mom. For her father, in another time, she would have readily taken her place by his side as a brilliant, creative and committed craftsperson. And to everyone she loved, including her "out-laws" (in-laws), she was fiercely loyal, without fear of recrimination or consequence.
Joanne WAS WHO SHE WAS. A fully human soul. She shined as brightly as the fireworks she loved so much, and boomed as distinctly as they did. We are all thankful for the many ways in which she enriched and impacted our lives.
