Joanne (Muller) Melanson

Waltham – Mrs. Joanne (Muller) Melanson, of Waltham, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Epoch of Weston. She was 73.

Joanne was born in Cambridge on May 6, 1942, a daughter of the late Oscar and Julia (Lamantea) Muller, and had been a lifelong resident of Waltham. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.

For a number of years Joanne provided daycare in her home and will long be remembered as a terrific homemaker who lovingly cared for her husband, children and grandchildren.

She leaves her husband of forty-four years, Richard A. Melanson; her children, Lisa M. Churchill and her husband, John, of Waltham and Lori A. Losinsky and her husband, Lawrence, of Ledera Ranch, California; her grandchildren, Nick, Justin and Brett Provencher and Luke and Leah Losinsky; her sister and brother, Rosalie Carr of Brockton, John Muller of Medford and many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was also a sister of the late Julie Allen.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joanne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, May 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
