Johanna L. Guerin

Waltham - Mrs. Johanna L. (Stringillo) Guerin of Waltham died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Countryside Nursing Home, Framingham. She was 93. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late John J. and Anna l. (Lindner) Stringillo, she was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1931. Mrs. Guerin was also past president of Saint Charles Borromeo Women’s Club, and a former member of Saint Charles Parish St. Vincent dePaul Society, Ladies Sodality and the Legion of Mary. She was the wife of the late Lawrence H. Guerin, Sr. and mother of the late Francis H., Rose Mary, and Thomas P. Guerin. She leaves her children, Lawrence H. Guerin, Jr. of West Newton, Robert Guerin of Southboro, John Guerin of Saratoga Springs, New York, Joan Marie Ercolani of Lowell, Pauline Hardy of Raymond, Mississippi, Annette Tumminelli of Billerica, Catherine Ricci of Merrimac, Lorraine Manero of Maynard and Mary Hanifin of Waltham; thirty-six grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
