Mr. John D. Aucoin of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, October 27, 2006 in the Medicana Nursing Home in Lake Worth. He was 79. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Simon and Christina (Chiasson) Aucoin, he had been a lifelong resident before moving to Florida eleven years ago. John was a graduate of Waltham High School and, until his retirement, worked as the senior building inspector for the City of Waltham. He was a member and past president of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham. John leaves his wife, Yolande T. (Bourque) (Cormier) Aucoin; his children, Daniel Aucoin of Westford and Lisa Buckley of Waltham; his grandchildren, Brett Aucoin, and Lauren and Colin Buckley; his step-daughter, Louise Nowlan of Halifax, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Lucille OSullivan of North Easton and Doris Dunham of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of the late Marie (Haché) Aucoin, step-father of the late Guy Cormier and brother of the late Joseph Aucoin and Sr. Marguerite Aucoin, R.C.E. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
