John D. Aucoin

Mr. John D. Aucoin of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, October 27, 2006 in the Medicana Nursing Home in Lake Worth. He was 79. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Simon and Christina (Chiasson) Aucoin, he had been a lifelong resident before moving to Florida eleven years ago. John was a graduate of Waltham High School and, until his retirement, worked as the senior building inspector for the City of Waltham. He was a member and past president of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham. John leaves his wife, Yolande T. (Bourque) (Cormier) Aucoin; his children, Daniel Aucoin of Westford and Lisa Buckley of Waltham; his grandchildren, Brett Aucoin, and Lauren and Colin Buckley; his step-daughter, Louise Nowlan of Halifax, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Lucille O’Sullivan of North Easton and Doris Dunham of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of the late Marie (Haché) Aucoin, step-father of the late Guy Cormier and brother of the late Joseph Aucoin and Sr. Marguerite Aucoin, R.C.E. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
