Waltham – Mr. John A. Carey, of Waltham, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Newton Health Care Center. He was 71.
John was born in Brighton on October 23, 1941, a son of the late John and Emily (Haviland) Carey and had lived in Brighton and in Boston before moving to Waltham in 1974.
He leaves his brother, Joseph McCarthy of Petaluma, California; his sister, Edna Bucelwicz of Needham and three nephews.
John was also a brother of the late Joan M. Carey and Alice C. Carey.
Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
